Kind staff, comfortable room, amazing onsen, wonderful souvenir shop, friendly restaurant, great breakfast buffet.

The hotel is situated in a convenient location with many eateries and bus stops close by, providing easy access to the JR station. The comfortable chairs in the room and thick foam pad futons ensure you get a good night's sleep. The onsen has several indoor and outdoor options, and amusing original cartoons on fire safety which add to the experience.

Sadly, there is some annoying repetition of music during breakfast and dinner, which can get irritating after a while.

I really enjoyed the authentic onsen experience with multiple temperature pools and dense mineral content. The hotel's central location was convenient for walking to nearby restaurants and shops or catching the bus to the JR station. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable with everything I needed. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay.

The onsen was a highlight of our stay with several bathing options and an authentic feel. The hotel's location near great hiking trails and museums was also a plus. the breakfast buffet offered many choices, including some local treats.

The town seemed to be struggling economically with many shops boarded up, and the hotel itself was showing signs of disrepair. we found that the lack of wifi in the rooms was inconvenient.

Secondly, the staff were friendly and provided excellent service throughout my stay. Finally, the rooms, even the Japanese style ones, were well-maintained and comfortable. Additionally, the breakfast provided was delicious and satisfying.

What a weekend! I had a fantastic time at this hotel. The onsen was definitely the best part of the stay. The different pools were a highlight, particularly the sulfuric one which was just amazing. And the idea of providing a small basin to taste the hot spring within the bathing area was such an original touch. The room was also very comfortable and well-equipped, with enough space for everyone. I also appreciated the location, with plenty of interesting restaurants and izakayas nearby.

There were just a couple of small things that let it down. the staff didn't seem to be particularly proactive about cleaning the lower-story of the onsen.
